Divisions of 20. Promotion and relegation every two weeks. Every outdoor kilometre in London counts, verified through Strava. No entry fee for the ladder. Want a league with your mates? That is Lucta Pro.
One email when the app is live. No spam.
Example of a division table in the app: twenty runners ranked by total distance, the top three in the promotion zone and the bottom three in the relegation zone.
How it works
No sign-up fee, no gear to buy, nothing to log by hand. If your runs are already on Strava, you are most of the way there.
Create your account and link Strava. Eligible outdoor runs sync automatically, so there is nothing to log by hand.
Head out anywhere in Greater London. Every eligible kilometre counts towards your two-week total, at any pace.
When the round settles, the top three are promoted and the bottom three drop a division. Then it all starts again.
The ladder
Twenty runners per division, ranked by total distance. When the round settles, the top three go up a division and the bottom three go down. Your position is never safe for long, and it is never out of reach either.
Why Lucta
Not a training plan, not a pace tracker. Nineteen other runners, one table, and two weeks to make it move.
Slow jogs and long runs count exactly the same. Consistency beats speed.
Do well and move up. Slack off and drop down. Real stakes, no money required.
Outdoor London runs only. No treadmills, no manual entries, no fake GPS.
See every run in your division, react and comment. Rivals, not strangers.
Wins, podiums and promotions follow you up the ladder. Build a history worth defending.
Connect Strava and you are in. Lucta Pro is optional and buys no advantage in London.
Lucta Pro
The London ladder stays free. Pro adds private leagues with your mates: pick the format, share a code, and count outdoor runs from anywhere in the world.
Example of a private league in the app: six friends ranked by longest running streak, each with a PRO mark, and the six-character invite code the host shares.
Start a league, share a six-character code or link, and up to 20 runners are in. Or keep it head-to-head.
Outdoor runs count wherever you are in the world. Still Strava-verified, still no treadmills or manual entries.
One format per league. One, two or four weeks, or a custom end date up to twelve. Minimum run of 1, 2, 3 or 5 km.
Lock joins, rename, remove a runner, regenerate the code or end early. When it is over, run it back with the same crew.
A small orange PRO after your name on tables, podiums, the feed and your profile. The one mark that says you are a member.
What your running is actually doing: pace trend, personal bests, consistency, and a forecast of where you finish your division.
Ladder wins, podiums and promotions, in bronze, silver and gold. Everyone earns them; Pro puts them on your profile.

If you run outdoors, use Strava and live in London, you are one tap from a division of your own.
Not in London? Lucta Pro leagues count outdoor runs from anywhere in the world.
The London ladder is, and always will be. There is no entry fee: connect a Strava account and you are in. Lucta Pro is an optional subscription for private leagues with your mates, and it buys no advantage in the ladder.
Yes. Strava is how runs are verified. Lucta reads eligible outdoor runs from your connected account and nothing else, and you can disconnect at any time.
For the ladder: outdoor runs recorded on Strava that start inside Greater London and fall within the current two-week round. Treadmill sessions, manual entries and edited activities never count. Private leagues under Lucta Pro take outdoor runs from anywhere in the world.
Total distance over the round. Pace is irrelevant: a slow 10K and a fast 10K are worth exactly the same.
The round settles. The top three in each division are promoted, the bottom three are relegated, everyone else stays put, and a fresh round starts from zero.
An optional subscription, £19.99 a month with the first 7 days free, bought in the app through the App Store. It adds private leagues with your mates: pick one of seven formats, share a six-character code, and count outdoor runs from anywhere in the world. It also unlocks Insights into your own running, and the badges for the wins, podiums and promotions you earn on the London ladder. Pro members carry a small PRO mark next to their name.
Yes. Everyone in a private league is on Pro, host and members alike. Share the code or the link and each runner joins from their own account.
Any time, from your App Store subscription settings. Pro runs to the end of the period you have paid for, you keep your place in any league already running, and you cannot start or join a new one until you subscribe again. The London ladder is unaffected.
No. Lucta has no cash prizes, in the ladder or in Pro leagues. Your rank, your promotions and your record are the whole game. A private league is for bragging rights only.
